This picturesque camp is quietly located between the Chugach Mountains and the Cook Inlet. It has been welcoming campers since 1961. My 10 year old son loves any outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for him. The non-judgmental philosophy of the camp makes it a place where children and teens can grow. A summer day camp designed for children ages 5-12. It will run from 9am to 3pm each day. Children will need to bring a bagged lunch each day (sorry no microwave). The cost is just $25 per child for the entire week! If you have any questions, please call or text Stephanie at 337-247-5625. Youth Fun-Damental Basketball Camp - Roscommon, MI
This exciting camp opportunity is for boys and girls entering the 3rd through 8th grade. With four days of fun and learning, using a variety of drills, skills, contests, and games, your athlete will have a chance to be active and leave with the necessary tools to develop their game for their future. Postive social interaction with others their age and with their basket coach will help them in more ways than just basketball skills. Camp is Monday - Thursday, August 22-25, from 10am-3pm and cost is $50. Early drop off and pick up is available for an additional $2 per hour. Maximum registration of $100 per family. (Compare to your child care costs, Example: 1 camper at $50/20 hours of instruction time = $2.50 hour.) Each camper will receive a t-shirt. We show students how these lines and shapes can fit together to create a complete whole. Then we introduce them to the tools to do it for themselves. They learn how they can create recognizable forms from the ‘language of art they are learning. Creative Adventures is an introduction to performing arts while learning to play creatively. We will utilize theatre exercises and "games" that assist in developing verbal and fine motor skills. We will pantomime, sing, and dance to music. Simple costume pieces and instruments are utilized. We also focus on the art of storytelling and how we can use our minds, voices, bodies and the space around us. We will create basic props, puppets and masks related to the stories to assist in the retelling and acting out a story. Card stock, paper bags, and art supplies are some of the materials used to create these items since the focus is on retelling and acting out the story not making an art project. End of Session Performance: On our last class day for this session, Friday, we will have a demonstration of the activities your child has participated in this week. It will be during the last 30 minutes of camp (11:30). Pictures and videos are allowed.
