FREE- Type 1 Diabetes Teen Camp - Cornville, AZ
JDRF has partnered together with Camp Soaring Eagle to offer a FREE CAMP to Type One Diabetic children ages 8-15 to come experience the healing power of laughter! CSE offers two camper weekends dedicated to T1D kids in a session for Teens and a session for Youth. Youth T1D camp is for kids 8-12 and Teen T1D Camp is for kids 13-15. The camper session runs from Friday-Sunday. CSE provides the campers with opportunity to learn about diabetes management and encourages independent health care. Campers with diabetes feel normal because they see all their peers with the same challenging diagnosis. CSE provides a balanced diet and menu with all carb counts for all meals. Spring Break - Camp Dragonfly, ages 8-12 - Marinwood CSD
Get a taste of summer at our Spring Break Camp! Our camp counselors are dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for children to interact, meet new friends and participate in exciting camp activities. Campers will spend their day at the park, playing dodgeball, creating art masterpieces and going down the waterslide at our pool. Join us for an exciting week of camp games, sports, swimming and more! Please bring a sack lunch, snacks, water, swim suit, towel and sunblock to camp daily. Come join the fun! Only need a day or two of camp? We take drop-ins! Drop-ins are dependent on space availability and are $45 per day. There are no sibling discounts for drop-ins. Please register for drop-in days through the Community Center office. Drop-ins for Before Care is $8 per day and After Care is $15 per day. These themed camps offer a fun, engaging learning environment as we work toward kindergarten readiness through different weekly topics. *3, 4, and 5 year olds are encouraged to join our morning preschool camps, where we work on a variety of social and academic skills. *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Game Maker Overload - Brookwood Christian School
This camp takes our intro and advanced courses and combines them...then goes beyond that for a full week of programming "overload". Starting from the very beginning, we will explore several different types of game creation: basic, maze, platform and more. Learn the basics such as creatin​g sprites, objects, events and actions, health, gravity, designing your levels and more. Global Video Game Designer #2 - Middle School
Students shouldnt just be playing video games, they should be MAKING their own games using video cameras, sensors, and drawings. Students even get to remix what others have done to hack their games! By learning Scratch (designed by the brilliant folks at MIT), your child will get to impress you with his or her cool and original creations. Plus, your child will be doing a good deed while gaming, as with all Level Up Village classes, 30% of the profits go towards funding a Global Partner class of students who live in poverty. Using video chatting, your child and his or her global partner will get to hack into each others games! All the while, your child will be learning about math, logic, coding and presentation skills.
