CAMP DETAILS Fairy Tales Week In addition to fun theatre games that foster creativity, self-expression and teamwork, students will explore their favorite fairy tales through dramatic play. We will act out stories, improvise news interviews with fairy tale characters, create set pieces, engage in music, movement and puppet activities and much more! A showcase of our favorite stories will culminate this ensemble building experience. Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Musical Theater Week Thank you for the music! In this camp, students will have fun exploring their own personal voices through songs and dances from various musicals! In addition to drama and improv games that foster theater skills in creativity, self-expression and teamwork, campers will create their own show that incorporates songs from their favorite musicals. Join BYU Cougarette Artistic Director Jodi Maxfield and the BYU Cougarettes for the best dance camp of the year! This camp is designed to prepare those who may have a desire to audition for and become part of the nine-time National Champion BYU Cougarette Dance Team. Train under the direction of BYUs nationally recognized dancers, including former and current BYU Cougarettes who have been on many of those successful national award-winning teams. You will receive quality instruction in all aspects of dance including technique, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, character and pom. Find out first hand what it takes to become a BYU Cougarette and learn how to prepare to succeed at the college level. Camp participants will be divided into groups that will allow the intermediate level dancer the time to increase her technique and improve on performance and showmanship.
