This class is for 4th-8th grade students. Through the Vocal Performance Workshop, students will: learn foundational vocal technique, as well as techniques used in different musical styles; shape and strengthen their vocal instrument with breathing and singing exercises; explore performance practices of interpretation, connection with the audience, stage movement, and microphone use; understand how to care and use their voice in healthy ways. The participants will sing in the Conservatory Recital on Saturday, May 14th (time TBA). 901-435-5843

What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. Treasure Hunting with Stamps! Letterboxing! - The Evergreen School
A week of stamp making, hiking and treasure hunting. Students will create their own stamps, follow directions, and find hidden letterboxes. They will stamp in and collect stamps from each of our daily hikes. We will even make our own letterboxes, write up the clues and hide them for others to find. Students will be hiking approximately 1-3 miles daily with plenty of time for breaks, lunch, play, and treasure hunting. Children must bring a lunch, a full water bottle, and should wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. The class will be outdoors all day walking fairly easy trails. Letterboxing is a great prologue to geocaching. 206-957-1533

Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284
