Hideout Theatre Improv Camp - Post Camp - Week 1 - JCC Campus
Improv Camp is the perfect place for the budding comedian, drama queen, or hilarious ham. We have a blast playing improv games, learning how to tell stories on the stage, and creating fabulous scenes. In the end, we take all of this and show it off in a final performance. This camp creates a fun and supportive environment for kids to learn the basics of creating improv, storytelling, and stagecraft. The curriculum is taught through games, play, and improvised stories. Kinderfari PM Session - KF4 "Bugs" - Henry Vilas Zoo
Kinderfari camps are 1/2 day, week-long adventures for our youngest zoo campers (K-1st grade)! Afternoon camps run Monday-Friday from 1:30-4pm, with free after care offered from 4-5pm. Limit 16 campers per session. "Bugs": What makes a bug a bug? How are they useful? What kinds can you find in your own backyard? Each themed week will help campers explore their creativity and spark imaginations! Led by experienced Montgomery County Public School art teachers, children will enjoy an assortment of artistic adventures. Capoiera THURS (grades 3-8) - University City Arts League
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for leg sweeps. Students work on physical coordination, group awareness, and communication. Students are recommended ( but not required) to take both the Monday and Thursday classes to get the most out of this program.
