Single Day Science Camp - Full Day - Science Fun Lab
Its a weekday, and school is out! If you would like something fun for your junior scientist to do from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm, then bring ‘em on by! We will have all sorts of fun science going on at the lab. Limited seats available. Drop off begins at 9:30 am for our single day camp. We will provide a morning and afternoon science snack. The Advanced Hitting Camp - Sunken Diamond
Capped at 24 players total, the Advanced Hitting Camp is a small-group based personal instructional clinic. Campers will be taught and guided with the use of Video Recording to break down and analyze hitting mechanics. 3D Game Design with Minecraft - Fishers of Men Lutheran Church
Minecraft is a block-building sandbox game with no set rules, where you can build anything you can possible imagine. Lets pretend youre alone in a mysterious new world, full of hidden dangers. You have only minutes to find food and shelter before darkness falls and the monsters come looking for you. What do you do? What we teach you might just save your life! Learn how to find resources; make a shelter; craft tools, armor, and weapons, and protect yourself from monsters. Campers also create their own adventure map as design, production, and test playing guide them. Campers learn how to work as a team as they take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. There are two modes of the game. The scenario above describes the survival mode. There is also a creative mode where there are no monsters and you will be able to fly around and have unlimited resources to build amazing creations and buildings. Tuesday - Make Real Stuff! 3D Modeling - HoLa Lower School
Make real stuff - Think it and build it! TinkerCAD is an easy-to-learn cloud-based technology that lets you create 3D models to later 3D print or export to Minecraft. Students have fun while learning spatial thinking. The instructor Nicola Hoelz is a professional graphic artist and has studied 3D modeling and animation. The school will provide the laptops and internet access. At signup, please provide one parents email address for an account at Autodesk 123D. During the first one or two club meetings we will follow the online lessons, learning to navigate and create models.
