CAMP Rube Goldberg is back by popular demand in the summer of 2016! Youll love this camp if you love watching energy flow from one thing to another, like in marble runs, water walls and falling dominoes! We will spend this camp session collaborating and building Rube Goldberg machines – contraptions that perform a simple task in the most complicated way possible. In both individual and group settings, campers will get to experiment with everyday objects to create Rube Goldberg machines and complete challenges. Looking for an all-girls outdoor adventure this summer? The Positive Energy Girls Outdoor Adventure Sampler creates a unique opportunity for girls to have fun developing skills in a variety of outdoor pursuits. Our focus is on supporting girls to develop positive images of themselves, their abilities, and their connection to the outdoor world. Camp activities will include rock climbing, watersports (kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming), working with our draft horse team, hiking, cooking in a solar oven and meeting Positive Energys kennel of sled dogs. Summer Camp @ Victory Park Group C (9-10) - City of Pasadena
Join one of Pasadenas most popular summer camps! Victory Parks Camp has earned its longstanding reputation as a high-quality, fun, affordable, enriching program. Each day begins with a morning pep rally that sets the stage for an action-packed day. Activities include outdoor play, dance, arts and crafts, including painting, sculpting, lanyard making and chalk drawings, fitness activities and enrichment. Enrichment classes include health, hygiene and first aid instruction, cooking classes, computer and robotics play and specialized sports instruction in tennis and golf. Campers spend at least two hours daily doing physical fitness in the form of choreographed dance, group games, fitness competitions, team sports and supervised free play. Campers are escorted across the park to Pasadena High School?s swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Camp counselors go into the water with the campers and well-trained, certified lifeguards are always present. Before entering the pool, campers receive a water safety lesson. Optional swimming lessons available for an additional $20/week. Most field trip fees are included in the weekly fee. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Field trip fees are included in camps costs, but campers may need spending money for some trips....
