Sam Michaels Day Camp - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Spend your summer vacation with us! Sam Michaels Day Camp offers 1 field trip per week, water day of Friday w/ inflatable water slide and weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm. Cost for camp is $125 per week (4th of July week is $100).Full payment is due at time of registration. Parent or guardian MUST complete a camp registration form as well a health form for each child they are registering. STATE LICENSING DISCLAIMER: Due to state law regulations we are required to limit the number of days a child is allowed to attend summer day camps, or any camp lasting more than 6 hours. Children may only attend these camps for 30 days during the summer (consecutive or non-consecutive). ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION: Lunch: Campers will need to bring their own lunch and beverage to camp every day. Refrigeration is not available. Small coolers or ice packs are recommended. Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, nestled in the Cascade Mountains near Leavenworth, Washington offers an extraordinary overnight or day camp, for aspiring young actors, directors and playwrights ages 10 - 18 years. This camp is a week long training ground where talented students come together to learn from an amazing team of theater professionals working in Seattle, New York and on Broadway. Students will be taken on a journey of self discovery. All classes, master classes and workshops cater to each students specific needs and skill levels by creating a safe and nurturing environment for all kids to express themselves creatively through theater. Acting groups are assembled to receive age-appropriate instruction. Star Wars Character Drawing - Valle Verde Elementary
Instructor: Village Center for the Arts () Room: A-2 Learn to draw all your favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away. Create your own Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Yoda and more, even X-Wings and Tie Fighters! Each class focuses on one or two characters, starting with basic shapes and stick figures, and working our way up to a complete, colored drawing each week. Students learn to build character structure, outlines, as well as shading techniques and detailing with pencil and ink. Lab fee includes class materials. (9 sessions) 415-314-1749

Build your skills on all percussion instruments in this intensive and fun five-day camp. Each day you will play exciting music in small percussion ensembles with other students of similar ability and skill level on a variety of instruments. Students will have the opportunity to select clinics that focus on specific instruments such as drum set, snare drum, timpani and mallet keyboard instruments. During the week students will also learn practical skills such as making their own mallets and tuning their own snare drum. All student ensembles will perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Students must have one year of band of a year of private instruction in preparation for this camp. Students outside of the age range but who have had comparable experience may contact the camp coordinator, Bob Adney, at 612-767-5410, for placement.
