The Elite Camp is for the serious athlete who has aspirations to play at the college level. Campers will be divided based on age and experience level to ensure each individual is able to train and compete against the appropriate level of competition. Morning sessions will focus on individual skill development, while afternoon and evening sessions will focus on team tactics and team play. Campers will receive high level instruction at every skill or game station from a coach who understands what it takes to play at the college level. Sessions will be intense and designed to push each camper past their comfort zone in order to improve their overall play. This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. (Ages 4-7) Our youngest artists will have an exciting time becoming printmakers. Students will engage in group activities designed to promote teamwork and creative thinking through the creation of a collaborative class project, will make their own stamps and printing plates, use an etching press and have a stomping good time with Miss Marjorie! Nature Art Quest - Carolina Day School
Be inspired by nature! We will balance our time between creating art outdoors, using natural materials in their natural environment, and collecting objects outdoors to create art with nature indoors. We will study nature artist Andy Goldsworthys work and we will create impermanent art such as earth mandalas, spirals, and fairy homes inspired by his work. Well use the natural items that we collect to create leaf prints, weavings, dreamcatchers, wreaths and more. Leader: Kati Robbins 828-274-0757
Summit Boys 3 (K - 6th) - Tatlock Field
This option is for rising Kindergarten through 6th graders and is geared toward beginner and intermediate players who want to develop their lacrosse skills in a fun and relaxed camp setting. Beyond teaching the basic skills and strategies of the sport, the camp day features: arts and crafts, team challenges, water games and other activities. The focus of the camp is to teach the technical skills of soccer (passing, receiving, finishing, dribbling and heading) through imaginative and small sided games. Each day, the trainers will emphasize a different skill and the campers will try to master the skills through fun and exciting games. The trainers will encourage good sportsmanship, fair play and having fun! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REFUND POLICY: A cancellation fee of $10 per transaction will be deducted for requested refunds/transfers. A refund (less $10) may be granted if the District is notified five (5) business days prior to the first class meeting.
