This will be the Teens at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church first Retreat. We are excited for what God has in store for this generation.The Theme for the Retreat this year is Joy! Firefighter Youth Camp - Limerick, PA
Limerick Fire Company's Third Annual YOUTH FIREFIGHTER CAMP June 20-24, 2016; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 6-13 years of age Registration Fee: $35; deadline to register: May 30, 2016 Welcome to Limerick Fire Company’s Youth Firefighter Camp. Due to the success of our camp, the deadline to register cannot be extended and attendance is limited to 60 campers. All registered cadets will receive one LFC Fireman’s tee shirt and LFC baseball cap to wear as their ‘daily uniform’. Hat and designated ‘uniform shirt’ must be worn every day because it identifies which group the cadet is assigned to for the week. If you are interested in purchasing extra camp shirts, they must be ordered at the time of registration-$10 per shirt. Why try this Camp? You will: ►Learn fire safety you thought you knew & then apply what you’ve learned ►Learn about the fire house, trucks (apparatus), and personnel ►Hands-on with various equipment ►Ladders-learn the how-to’s ►Hoses-proper techniques to connect to the hydrant, flow water, roll up, etc. ►Extinguishers-the ABC’s ►Rescue tools during simulated live demonstrations ►Fire gear-bunker pants, jacket, helmet, safety gloves & glasses all provided ►Watch & participate in several live demonstrations with the firefighters ►And so much more…. Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of natures greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Meet the YSI animal ambassadors and look for wild animals in the park to see how these adaptations help animals to survive in many different environments. 408-827-5507

Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Water Olympics Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Disc golf, also known as Folf, is a flying disc game, as well as a precision and accuracy sport, in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target, The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.The game is played in about 40 countries around the world. Come learn the basic rules of disc golf such as: Teeing off Establishing position Marking the lie Throwing from a stance Holing out Out of bounds Discs used in play Order of play Courtesy The week will end with a trip to the disc course in Hudson.
