This camp is designed to help campers learn the high level fundamental skills needed to become a great shooter. Coach Lubbers teams have consistently ranked as one of the best FT and 3PT shooting teams not only in the RMAC but in the country. CCU Consistently ranks in the top 10 in the country in 3PT%, FT%, 3PTFG Made and FT Made. In 2015 Coach Lubbers led CCU to the programs 1st ever National Championship. Ever wonder what its like to work at a tech company? In this workshop, well look at the many aspects of what goes into building a product like Facebook or Twitter. Students will wear many hats, playing the role of product designers, developers, and customers. To top it all off, students will build their own application and gain a basic understanding of the Ruby programming language. This is a great introduction to programming for teens in grades 9-12. Footsteps Mandarin Immersion Summer Camp is an opportunity for extended Mandarin immersion. While having a fantastic time, your child will begin to acquire the ability to use Mandarin correctly and confidently in various daily tasks and social situations. Our dynamic, experienced staff is either native speaking or fluent. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next, designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun. Your child will love exploring the language and traditions of China by tasting authentic Mandarin cuisine—using Chinese words, of course, and learning about and creating traditional Mandarin arts and textiles and taking field trips to expand your childs knowledge. A week or more of camp will help boost your childs language ability! There is a weekly field trip and special event. Two healthy snacks are provided each day. Grades 3-6 (Day Camp) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center (it will not begin before 8:00 AM). Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. Each day we will have fundamental and team practice in the morning. League play will begin at approximately 2:00PM and generally will end around 3:30PM at which time you may leave for home. (*Note: These times may change depending on the number of campers in attendance). More information about game times will be posted in the arena on the first day of camp after the teams have been selected.
