LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Counselors-In-Training - Wk. 7 (FD) - F. H. Hammond Elementary School
Teens, ages 12-14, get the opportunity to gain valuable experience and have alot of fun as a CIT. This camp will teach them how to be great future camp counselors through planning, team building, teaching and supervision. Upon aging out of this camp, does not mean you can apply for a camp counselor. You must be 18. Each week a parent letter and itinerary will be compiled for you to take which will list all activities/trips for that week. These will be available on the sign-in table each week. All camp activities will be held between 9AM-4PM. Parents are able to drop their child(ren) off between 7AM-9AM and pick them up between 4PM-6PM. All scheduled activities and trips will take place during the 9AM-4PM time frame. Early drop-off/pick-up will be designated for free time, smaller organized games and/or board games. Full-day campers should pack a lunch, 2 snacks and plenty of water. Half-day campers should pack a snack and plenty of water. All campers should have their own sunscreen and wear gym shoes. A camp t-shirt will be given out each field trip day to campers who do not have one. Campers are required to wear this shirt each...

Teen MMA Summer Camp at GCBJJ - Grove City, OH
GCBJJ will be hosting an MMA camp for teens (age 13-17). This camp will cover all aspects of MMA including: Boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Conditioning. No experience necessary. Cost is $125 per teen. Only equipment they will need is a mouthpiece. We will provide all other equipment. Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a couple extra changes of clothes. The participants can pack a lunch (we have a fridge and a microwave, or there are three pizza places, Arby's and Subway that are all within walking distance.

Middle School Survivor Camp - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Survivor Camp is a challenging adventure camp that will develop outdoor living skills — specifically, build a raft to use on the pond, go mountain climbing at Pilot Mountain, learn knots and rope crafts and cooking over a fire. From Monday night to Thursday night survivor campers spend each night outside. Campers learn the leave no trace philosophy. Survivor campers will go through high adventure courses, swim and canoe and have nightly de-briefing times and devotions. 336-629-4085

The Road to Rio Gymnastics Camp-I - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Session I For rising JK-4th grade students Dont miss your Road to Rio! It starts at our incredibly fun and challenging camp. Introduce your All-American Girl or Iron Man to the spirit of gymnastics! All-American Girl instruction will focus on vault, bars, balance beam, floor exercise and mini-trampoline. We will encourage the "grace" behind the sport and will incorporate turns, leaps, jumps and elements of the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics along with tumbling and mini-trampoline. In our "Iron Men" tumbling program, the boys will be grouped by age and introduced to the basics of tumbling acrobatics such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, handsprings, jumps and safety falls, in addition to mini trampoline fundamentals. For the older boys we offer acro-slam activities such as dunking balls by jumping off the mini-tramp. To round out this program, we will encourage the girls and boys to challenge their strength, flexibility, & coordination through fun, age appropriate gymnastics, challenges, and activities. Basketball ­ Girls 4th ­- 9th - SCDS
You dont need to travel out of town for a first-rate basketball camp! Experience a FUNdamental basketball camp on our own SCDS campus! The Camp will be Directed by our Head Girls Basketball Coach Bobbi Mock. Coach Mock brings 19 years of coaching experience to this camp and is excited about helping your child develop better basketball skills. This revamped camp has extended hours to ensure development of proper form and fundamentals, including shooting form, footwork, timing the shot, lay¬ups, jump shots, etc. Time will also be devoted to game situations and scrimmages. Emphasis will be placed on the skills needed for basketball success! Coaches from around GA will be guest speakers at camp, including Toby Wagoner from GSU and Fala Blalock from Armstrong, among others. Camp will utilize three SCDS gyms (Demere, Saunders, Old Gym).
