Limerick Fire Company's 4th Annual YOUTH FIREFIGHTER CAMP June 19-23, 2017; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 6-13 years of age Why try this Camp? You will: ►Learn fire safety you thought you knew & then apply what you’ve learned ►Learn about the fire house, trucks (apparatus), and personnel ►Hands-on with various equipment ►Ladders-learn the how-to’s ►Hoses-proper techniques to connect to the hydrant, flow water, roll up, etc. ►Extinguishers-the ABC’s ►Rescue tools during simulated live demonstrations ►Fire gear-bunker pants, jacket, helmet, safety gloves & glasses all provided ►Watch & participate in several live demonstrations with the firefighters ►And so much more…. Imagine your child spending the day in the care of warm and loving counselors making the most adorable creations! In The Handwork Studios Fiber Arts Camp, campers spend their time sharing stories and laughs while stitching snuggly creatures, and crafting handy dandy accessories. Our goal is to teach the fun practical skills of knitting, hand and machine sewing, needle felting and much more in a space where campers will be enveloped in learning, creativity, imagination, and giggles! The camp will consist of multiple stations where students engage in exploratory learning using weights, jump ropes, exercise balls, medicine balls, fitness bands, multiple I-pad fitness applications, kettle bells, speed ladders, and much more! The Coding Champions will strive to understand the fundamentals of coding (such as sequences, conditionals, loops, etc.) so that we can solve challenging puzzles, create animated plays, and maybe even invent a game or app. Every potential coder sits somewhere on his/her path to coding glory.
