Sammy Slug Summer Camp, Session #8b, Half Day - Youth Programs
Sammy Slug Summer Camp is offered by the Office of Physical Education, Recreation & Sports (OPERS) for boys and girls entering 1st through 6th grades. Based at the East Field House, this camp is offered in one-week sessions June to August. There are half day and full day options, and pre-camp and post camp care is available. Throughout the week the 5 camp tenants which are Responsibility, Respect, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Team Building are reinforced and integrated into the curriculum. Camp activities include a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis, frisbee, and soccer; outdoor recreation such as hiking and swimming; and other arts, crafts and outings to keep the campers engaged, active and creative. With a camper to staff ratio of 10:1, the camp focuses on creating a safe environment with a program designed, implemented, and staffed by experienced recreation professionals and UCSC students. All staff are screened through a criminal background check, certified in First Aid/CPR and trained in safe practices. GRADES 1st - 5th LOCATION East Field House

Water Week 2: Get ready for a splash-tastic week of camp! Campers build watersheds, learn boat safety lessons, study aquatic life and canoe at Little Campbell Lake. BOYS - Elite for Middle School (2016) - Lambert High School
Middle School Session: 12 pm to 2:30 pm daily Session is for participants in 7th or 8th grade as of the 2015 - 2016 school year. Participants will be divided based on age and skill level to maximize learning. Due to NCAA Regulations, we are prohibited from advertising current players that will be working at the camp.
