Do you like to be active? Do you want to be more active? Are you looking for an alternative to an organized sport, but still want to be part of a team? Are you interested in keeping in shape for a fall sport? Most of all, do you want to have fun? Then this high-energy boot camp is for you! If, that is, you have the right attitude. -- This boot camp is designed specifically for developing young bodies and minds, with a fun (and safe) mixture of body weight exercises, running and cardio, partner and group exercises, games and obstacle courses. All movements will help build coordination, balance, and motivation. Stretching before and after exercise is emphasized, and mindfulness and yoga techniques will be integrated each day. (And did we mention the music?) -- All participants need is a good pair of tennis shoes, comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! No other equipment necessary. Using MIG welders, metal saws, hot and cold bending systems, and grinders, youll begin to master the basics of welding and metal fabrication. This weeks welders will work in the spirit of Claes Oldenburg, an American artist made famous for creating giant public art pieces of oversized everyday objects: a giant eraser, a tube of lip stick, a hand saw. A Whale of a Tale - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
This lovely underwater musical is truly delightful! The circus themed musical plot revolves around the underwater circus band taking a leave of absence to perform at the "Clammies". This leaves the circus without their primary musical act! The story takes us through each sea creatures trials and tribulations as they pursue their dreams of being musicians. Kids Art Camp Spring 2015 Looking for a creative way to fill the spring break week? Campers, ages 6–9, gain inspiration from SJMA exhibitions and participate in hands-on projects that offer in-depth art experiences and technical instruction. Students grow creatively and strengthen their artistic capabilities while they develop team skills and critical thinking. 04 Summer Fun Camp 2 Ages 5-12 - Middle School
Camp will meet from 7:00-5:30pm on Monday and Friday; and from Noon-5:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games, educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. Campers should report to the HS cafeteria and enter door #29 on days that camp starts at Noon. Campers will be escorted to the MS Gym after lunch by camp counselors.
