CentriKid is a high energy, intentional, gospel-centered overnight camp for 3rd-6th graders. Their mission is to help kids experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ. This takes place through track times, rec, worship, Bible study, church group time, and other fun events. CentriKid Camps are committed to providing content that is rooted in Scripture, a safe location, kid-friendly programming, and staffers who are deeply invested in your kids. July 31-Aug 4. Online at www.sfreconline.org (view entire summer camp 2015 activity guide here) 2. at McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, 501 Stanyan Street (@ Fell) (415) 831-6800. 3. At any neighboring registration site, such as Hamilton Recreation Center. 1900 Geary Blvd (@ Steiner) ***Please make sure you sign up for the correct swim lesson level for your child. If you sign up for the wrong level it could result in a withdrawal without refund for the class. Repurposed Junk and Upcycled Funk - Ned Smith Center for Nature & Art
This camp is overflowing with creative uses for everyday objects. We will make instruments, art, and gadgets from seemingly useless items. Straws arent just for drinking, balloons arent just for parties, and old cardboard has more uses than you can imagine. We will be thinking outside the box and learning some fun science along the way in this trash to treasure adventure. We will turn the Lower School Technology Lab into Minecraft World! Come join your friends, or meet new ones as we share our Minecraft adventures and worlds. And theres more- During this camp, we will also investigate coding and cad using other programs that encourage technical creative thinking. Too much screen time isnt good for anyone, so part of each day students will explore several types of manipulatives to stimulate their creative minds. NOTE: All students must have their own Log-in and Password for Minecraft on a PC. Go to Minecraft.net for information on how to purchase your membership to set-up your log-in and password. Mobile and Xbox passwords will not work on our server. The log-in and password must be included in this registration. They will be kept confidential. Throughout the week Children will be learning and doing variety of activities. Children will be expressing their emotions and creativity through art, it will build their confidence and focus through chess and yoga, and children will be relaxing, moving and growing while building flexibility through dance. Let your child expose his/her artistic side as they participate in a variety of activities among dancing, art and craft, yoga and much more. Please Note: Instructor: BayAreaGurukul LLC, Staff. Participants should wear clothing that can get dirty. Half day camps should bring a water bottle and a snack; Full day camp should bring a water bottle, snack and lunch.
