I went to CJDA every summer growing up, and now my girls attend every summer. I love it because they’re learning how to interact with other girls. With all of the back-biting and bullying you hear about in schools nowadays, I believe that CJDA works to counteract that. Girls at this camp learn to love and appreciate other girls. Week 2: Design/Build for Social Impact - REALM Charter High School
Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm Pick-up begins: 8:45am Drop-off ends: 4:15pm Girls will design and build furniture projects for the Womens Daytime Drop-In Center, a local safe haven which offers free services to homeless women and their children. Along the way, girls will learn skills in woodworking, welding, fabrication, and masonry to design a meaningful project for their community, to work in multiple materials, and bring ideas to life. Please note: Week 1 and 2 will offer the same content. Please enroll in only one. Snacks will be provided. Full lunch option is available at an additional $25 cost. Enrollment is limited to 20 girls.
