This camp helped my teenage daughter understand the importance of volunteering in the community. Girl Scout camp helps develop positive social skills in young women. Basketball Day Camp for youth (boys and girls) ages 7 - 15. Hosted by Idaho Slam Jam, featuring four professional basketball players, Tammy Brawner, Chris Staples, Zig Zag, and Werm. There will be two sessions at $25 per session. Session fees cover the camp, a camp t-shirt, and one ticket for the family BBQ between sessions. Morning session starts at 10am, and the afternoon starts at 1pm. BBQ is at noon. Additional BBQ tickets can be purchased online for $5 each.
CIRRUS MINOR Battling for a slot on SUMMER CAMP 2016! - Des Moines, IA
$5 gets you admission and one vote at this special ALL AGES event, where 4 regional bands (including CIRRUS MINOR) will compete to win a slot on the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC FESTIVAL in Chilicothe, Illinois on Memorial Day Weekend; this would have us playing alongside Mudcrutch (with Tom Petty), Umphrey's McGee, Fishbone, STS9, moe., George Clinton and P-Funk.... and so many more! We need your vote! Also, we need people to help spread the word- we haven't played since October, plus, Joe Corbin (our drummer) will NOT be playing this show with us- he and his wife are expecting a new baby within a couple days of the show- so you will see a Cirrus Minor show unlike any you have seen before... gonna get creative! So, join us at the show (and be sure to vote while you are there)... And if you can share this event, invite friends, or help pass around a few fliers, we will be eternally grateful! Summer is coming quickly and that means your children will be out of the house more and running around. You may not always be there to keep an eye on them so they need awareness and physical skills to back them up. Summer time is when your children have a greater chance of possible interactions with strangers and potential preditors. Let us help you get them armed with battle ready skills. What they will learn: *Abduction defense skills *What to do if they can't run *Assertiveness training and command presence *Think smarter than the bigger, stroner bad guy, and more... 9:30am – 3:30pm Monday thru Thursday 9:30am through 7pm Showcase on Friday Are you ready to DANCE. ? Teenagers (ages 13-18) of all dance levels are invited to register for our first ever Dance Camp July 6-10, 2015. Students will enjoy skill-based instruction in tap, musical theater, and hip hop from professional dance teachers as they do their morning rotations. After a time of worship, Bible study, and small group time, each day will end with a full company production number rehearsal. The camp will take place at Groove Nation West with three different mirrored studio instruction rooms for optimum learning, and the performance on the Mago Hunt stage at the University of Portland campus. Summit Afternoon Academy Summit Band Spring 2016 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders, 3:00-4:00PM, $360 Fees include snack Band meets in the Lower School Music Room in the Arts & Technology Building Clarinets- Wednesdays (Trumpet players from Fall Band may join this class if unable to meet on Tuesdays) January 6, 13, 20, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2, 9, 16, 23, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4 February 10, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice March 9, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice April 27, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice Band instruction includes note spelling, rhythm training, instrumental skills, harmonizing, and aural development. We will be dancing, acting, and more! To celebrate the end of camp and share our many talents, we will hike to Stratham Hill Park for our annual camp talent show on Friday. All families are invited to attend! Each day is designed a little different to offer campers with daily choices, physical exercise, and craft activities to ignite creativity, social and group development, nature and each week includes three special activities/events.
