Students will be introduced to the beauty and fun of insects and will explore their environments in a class where art meets science. Young entomologists will create a variety of 2D and 3D forms using materials from nature and an army of art supplies using paint, collage, clay, printmaking, mixed media, and more. Come bug out with us! Storytellers (Ages 4-7) Storytelling helps students improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs imaginations. In this first-time class, talented professor of visual art Jennifer Pepper will guide students through painting, drawing and mixed media activities based on a variety of classic and contemporary children’s stories. Back by popular demand, Camp Broadway returns to San Antonio with our New York team of Broadway professionals to present our annual classic summer camp. Camp Broadways Original Summer Program enables theater-loving kids, ages 10-17, to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance. Our staff will immerse your child in an authentic Broadway rehearsal process that allows all campers to be successful regardless of experience level. Programmable Speed Bots - Wow Science - Voorhees
Using iOS and Android devices, campers will program a robot to do many tricks, including pulling off ollies--a trick where a skateboarder or snowboarder can jump into the air without ramping off something else. This robot can pull off ollies, do a quick spin in place, speed boost while driving (called grabs), jump around like a hot potato, pull off wheelies, or rocket across the room and turn on a dime before zipping off in a new direction. All this as campers have fun mastering basic concepts of programming. Bring your cell phone if you have one. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY.
