We are still looking for some interested teens for the TCTA Theatre Arts Program! ages 12-18 It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. You will be taking tours of local theatre spaces and seeing performances around town. This is truly a unique experience if you have an interest in the theatre arts and performance art. All kids up to age 18 welcome, no charge for current EquQuest horsemanship students; $250 for new students Camp dates are March 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18; 10 AM to 1 PM each day. Kid's learn to catch their own horse, tack it up, do ground work and ride (as age and confidence level appropriate). Get's them outside in sunshine and fresh air, helps them develop compassion for animals and puts them in touch with nature. Bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Theyll explore energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion and consumption; design and build models and observe the behavior of their models. This is an advanced robotics course and campers should have some experience working with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® components. Campers with no experience should attend Camp Deep Space Robotics. Discover how rocks are formed and practice rock sorting like a geologist. Take a closer look at snails and other animals with shells. Work as scientists to investigate spores and learn the mysteries behind mold by putting together an experiment to watch mold grow in a safe enclosed environment. As we move through our investigations extend your land-based quest and look to the sky and experiment with wind and learn the science of how clouds form.
