Sports Camp week 6- Lacrosse - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of lacrosse camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport of lacrosse including cradling, passing, shooting and defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship The third hour of lacrosse camp will focus on learning the rules of the game (rules for boys and girls will be explained separately) and playing modified games of lacrosse. As the skills of each child advances over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! This program is for children ages 6 to 12 and runs Mon through Fri from 8am to 5pm. Camp locations: Wigwam Creek Middle School & LP Rec. Center. This camp includes arts/crafts, sports, games, daily swimming & movies. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided. Discounts are available for families enrolling multiple children. The first week of camp which you register for, the FULL camp payment is due at the time of registration. All other weeks which you register, a $20.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space in that week of camp. The remaining camp fee is due 7 days prior to the start date of week in which you are registered. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Price shown is for one child only. Within Reach Education, based in Atlanta, Georgia, will spend a week on the Carolina Day School campus teaching the most effective tips, tricks, and strategies to raise your SAT or ACT scores! You will not only practice valuable tools and concepts to earn as many points as possible, youll also have some fun within the dynamic learning environment fostered by highly experienced Within Reach educators, Morgan and Stephanie. Basic skills in math, science, reading, and English will be covered, but more importantly the structure and secrets of the two tests will be revealed. By the end of this five-day workshop, you will feel far more prepared for, and much less anxious about, your standardized tests! You can take the SAT class or the ACT class or both! 828-274-0757
