LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Session 1: No Place Like Home - Young Naturalists - The Hitchcock Center for the Environment
CAMP Do you know who is living in your backyard and beyond? Come explore a variety of habitats in our community- fields, farms, and forest – and find out who and what is living and thriving there. Well discover fascinating connections among the plants, animals and humans where we live. Through hands-on experiences within these habitats, mixed with stories, songs, games and crafts, we will build our sense of place as we investigate where our food comes from, the human and natural history of this place, how our ecosystems work, and all about the many creatures who all call this place home. 4132566006.0

Personal Finance 101 - Camp/Workshop Leader: Gardner Barrier Dates: June 27 - July 1 Rising grades: 6 - 9 In this camp your child will work through fun and engaging conversations and games that will start their journey into financial literacy. We will play games that introduce financial topics, we will explore spreadsheet functionality as we design and evaluate plans, and we will learn some basic lessons about how money works. This "camp" will feel at times like a summer seminar, at times like game play, and at times like group analysis. We will be thinking hard, having meaningful conversations, and having a good time. Participants will finish up the week feeling like blinders have been taken off. They will see the world differently. And theyll have fun, too! All students need to bring is a curiosity about how money works, a willingness to think about things differently, and a desire to learn as much as possible. We will not be leaving campus. Some other "experts" will be coming to us. You can reach me at I have the wonderful opportunity to otherwise serve on our staff as the Assistant Head of School & Director of Upper School.
