Work with a local publication to create an illustration for an upcoming issue. Every participant will create their own illustration and at least one drawing will be chosen by the magazine to get published and printed. This is a hip-hop and breaking camp. Students will move and groove to funky beats and create a music video to share with friends and family. Children should bring a snack and water bottle to each class. Camp includes a fifteen minute break. Sun-Sand-Surf - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
Were going back to the Beach! An entire summer camp inspired by a tropical holiday. Well use sand clay & watercolors to make beach-inspired art, sculpt pottery hermit crabs, create our own shades with colored lenses and make a transparent jellyfish sculpture. Mo the moss ball is back as our camp mascot this year with his own comic book made by YOU. Each student will exhibit a piece in our end of summer Art Show. 734-416-4278

Printmaking Studio with Ann Cheeks - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Explore some traditional printmaking techniques, from linocuts to monoprints. Students will learn how to create unique, handmade artwork for personal cards, gifts, posters or wall art. The workshop will introduce students to linocut techniques, the process of carving into soft printing blocks with linoleum cutters and printing with water-soluble inks. Monoprint techniques will also be taught for creating looser, more abstract images. All students should come away with no fewer than five images from printmaking techniques, and the skills to create more on their own with a few low-cost tools. Linocut designs can be taken home and used again and again to create additional cards or other artwork. 970.728.3886
