KidSport Mornings Ages 4 -13[] Kids enjoy a variety of team sports, individual sports, team building games, fitness and other physical education activities and swimming lessons Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology Campers bring snacks and water. Mornings, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Drop-off. Staff will collect your camper from your car at 8 AM and bring your camper to your car at 12 Noon. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! Scholarships are available from UM KidSport at www.kines.umich.edu/umove/kidsport [] Application deadline is April 30. This camp is not eligible for Rec & Ed Scholarships. We sent our 5 year old son and our 10 year old daughter to Liberty Lake Day Camp. This camp is for children ages 4 to 15. Teen Empowerment & Survival Camp Summer 2016 - Tucson, AZ
This camp is designed specifically with teenagers’ safety and well-being in mind. As parents, we want our teenagers to be safe, but we also want them to grow up feeling comfortable with themselves, having a healthy self-esteem and self-image. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assess and deal with both physically and psychologically threatening situations. Safety at school cannot be overstressed. Since this where our teenagers spend a large majority of their day regularly, the probability of their being exposed to, or involved in, dangerous or unhealthy situations is extremely high. Whether it’s an outside threat that poses a danger to the entire school, or a fellow student whose words and actions are psychologically damaging to an individual, our teenagers should know how to assess and act before, during, and after an event. More importantly, though, our teenagers should feel comfortable and confident so that they do act. This is where education and training becomes invaluable. Serious fans of music, musicians, or the computer savvy, youll work with as professional recording artist and producer using digital recording softwares such as Ableton Live, ProTools, and Logic Pro to learn the essential production techniques used throughout the music industry. Youll learn how to create top notch beats, bass-heavy dance tracks, sample-based Hip Hop, and limitless original compositions. A special guest vocalist will join us to record over your tracks. Monsters the Musical $225 Rising 2nd-5th June 27-July 1 8:30am-2:00pm * Please note different fee We Are Monsters is a hilarious new musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye! Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating in the attributes that make each of us different and unique. Cardinal Volleyball Camp For Students currently in 6th-7th grade (15-16) Alexandria Area High School Auxiliary Gym. The Cardinal Volleyball Camp, run by the Cardinal coaches, is a great way to start learning the skills and expectations of the 9-12 program. We will touch on the very basic components of individual skill and progress toward exposure to more advanced concepts that we implement at the varsity level. A variety of individual skills will be addressed including: basic passing form, defensive movement, serving approach footwork, blocking footwork and transition movement. Team concepts that will be touched on include: offensive and defensive systems, serve receive patterns and positive team interactions. This is your chance to get a jump-start on understanding what being a Cardinal volleyball player means both on and off the court.
