The first two weeks of the CCYC Summer Camp will begin on June 20,2016 and end on July 1, 2016. This year there will be two separate camps with the second two week camp starting on July 18 and conclude on July 29 2016. Applications for the first session must be returned by June 15 to be accepted into the first session. Ages this year will range fron 7 to 12 yars of age. Hi Everyone! It's almost 2016, which means it's finally time to start preparations for this summer's camp! The first informational meeting will be on Saturday, January 9th. There will be a total of two informational meetings (the second on January 31st). If you are applying to be a full time counselor for the first time, you are required to attend at least one of the meetings. Also, keep an eye out on your emails for the counselor application that will be released soon. Can't wait to see all of you on January 9th! Water, water everywhere, undeniably one of the most crucial elements to life on our planet is water. Yet how many people understand the basics of this life giving resource? Use investigation, observation, and exploration to understand more about this amazing resource. Do hands-on experiments involving dropping, spraying, heating, and freezing and discover the mysterious properties of water and how it changes to different states of matter. Explore the local watershed to see how water moves and changes shape along its path to the sea. Search the creek to look for critters that live in or near water. Meet and take a close look at YSIs live aquatic animals and develop a better appreciation for the world of water. 408-827-5507

Introducing the brand new Lego WeDo 2.0. Students will explore simple robotics using LEGO WeDo. Each week they will build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer or tablet, and configure behaviors using simple programming. As students advance through the program extension projects can be added for those who are ready for more challenging projects. This robotics class covers topics within science, technology, mathematics and engineering. Science was never this much fun! Grades 4 & 5 meet on Wednesdays. Grades 1-3 meet on Thursdays. Students in grade 3 participating in both programs will meet on Wednesdays for Lego Robotics.
