What I loved about Ocoee was that my child had lots of things to do. She wanted to try archery, riding horses and she was excited about the art part of the camp. She spent a lot of time with good friends that she’s known through Camp Ocoee and they played a lot of volleyball and basketball, but she said they also tried the BMX and water sports portions of the camp. Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp Stew Night - Presque Isle, ME
On Friday, February 17th, starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM, Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp (ATLC) will be hosting Stew Night at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. For $6, you can get a combo of a Main Dish (Tomato Soup, Taco Soup, Chicken Stew, Venison Chili and Beef Stew), roll, drink and a dessert. Join us for a weekend of fun community and spiritual growth as we head to Angola, Indiana for this year's Fall Getaway! Check is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14th. Nature Nuts Arnold Spring Session - Arnold Elementary
Thursdays: Feb 25th, March 3rd , March 10th, & March 17th The Nature Nuts program brings the excitement and fun of new EcoAdventures right to your school! Using a hands-on approach to learning, our goal is to empower students to take action on issues concerning conservation and the environment. Students will encounter a variety of live animals such as tarantulas, toads, lizards, giant roaches, snakes, crocodiles, frogs, small mammals, turtles, and much more! (410) 279-5416

This summer the program is running for 7 weeks with over 60 camp options. Families may sign up for just one week or spend the summer at Summit! Early morning and late afternoon care are available. Summit Summer gives students chance to learn and have fun. The teachers are qualified professionals with extensive experience in their subject areas and in child development. The atmosphere is welcoming with a majority of non-Summit students participating. The classes are designed for personal attention with low student-teacher ratios. Step into the well-worn shoes of a detective or agent and uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis. Explore forensic science through the eyes of crime solvers, using your powers of observation to reveal clues and solve cases. Develop disguises for cover, make and break secret codes, and create and use cool spy gadgets. A local police detective will join us for a discussion and demonstration during the week. 919-677-7839
EXTREME ART! - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Take art to a new level! Whether you are an accomplished young artist or someone who thinks they cant do any art, we promise you are in for a hands-on 3 dimensional fun experience with wood burning, tie-dyeing with Indigo, printmaking, weaving and felting and that is truly EXTREME! We will teach you to use a special pyrography (wood burning) tool and to draw designs, patterns and texture into wood, leather and dried gourds. The ancient Greeks called it writing with fire. After the design is burned in, shading and coloring can be added. You will discover the art of printmaking, how to use a printing press, carve linoleum blocks into stamps, and create a masterpiece using natural items and a collagraph abstract print. Go back in time as you dye fibers using natural indigo and tie-die your camp t-shirt to the EXTREME! Create Native American inspired medicine pouches through a felting process and weave your own tapestry using card or hand looms from simple to complex.
