Participating kids (kindergarten through 5th grade) will enjoy a variety of activities including sports, gym games, playground play, arts & crafts and group games. 3D Game Design w/ Unity - The Digital Arts Experience
Ever wanted to learn how to make 3D games? Join us in this unique class that will show you how to build an awesome platformer using a free game design program! First students will create all of their game assets in Blender, an animation and modeling program. These assets will then be imported into Unity, a free development tool and game engine. Students will learn the basics of game development & level design and how to use Unity to build a game from the ground up. MUSIC/CHORUS Branch Out into Music Singing and playing an instrument can be so much fun, but some students just dont know where to begin. This fun-filled class includes music basics, singing, and playing the recorder. From there, students may be able to branch out into playing another instrument, or learn to sing harmony in a choir. THE SCIENCE OF GARDENS Gardening, kids dig it. Each day of class will have a hands-on science and gardening theme. On the first day of class, we will learn about the basic needs of plants and students will plant seeds. On each subsequent day we will explore topics such as leaf adaptations, flowers & pollinators, fruit, seeds & seed dispersal, beneficial insects, garden art, and sustainable gardening.
