Position Camp - Memorial Coliseum
This one-day intense camp is designed for fundamental skill development at the position of your choice. Players can sign up as a libero, outside attacker, middle attacker, or setter. Players will get the opportunity to work on the offensive & defensive portions of their position, and fine-tune their skills before the upcoming fall seasons! On your registration, be sure and denote which position you would like to focus on. All groups will receive maximum repetitions through drill work and competitions. Different positions will train separately and combined at different points throughout the day, allowing the campers to be challenged and improve in as many situations as possible. 859-257-2532

Preschool Day Camp ~ Healthy Bodies, Healthy Cooking - The Evergreen School
What tasty snacks our children will they create and enjoy each day! Class discussion will include healthy foods, what nutritional content do the different foods offer, and physical fitness. Class activities include reading, crafting, fitness, science, and simple cooking. 206-957-1533

Therapeutic Dog Reading - YSWPCS
The main objective of this program is to provide a relaxed and dog-friendly atmosphere, which allows students to practice the skill of reading. Many of the children chosen for this program have difficulties reading and as a result have developed self-esteem issues. They are often self-conscious when reading aloud in front of other classmates. By sitting down next to a dog and reading to the dog, all threats of being judged are put aside. The child relaxes, pats the attentive dog, and focuses on the reading. Reading improves because the child is practicing the skill of reading, building self-esteem, and associating reading with something pleasant. In addition to time reading with Therapy Dogs students will also have the opportunity to read to stuffed animals, use the RAZ Kids computer reading program and engage in other supplemental activities as chosen by the teachers. NEEDS : There will be a limit of 10 students allowed in the club. Struggling readers will be given first priority in joining the club and then it will be opened up to other students if not enough struggling readers apply. CLASS IS HELD FROM 3-4pm* Class meets on Wednesdays on the following dates: 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, & 5/19 Introducing students to the fun of science through hands-on interactive experiments, adventures, and entertainment. We develop curriculum allowing students to experience how science works in the real world -- presenting programs in a nurturing, encouraging environment where students build self-esteem while learning. Club Scientific lessons help engage students in observation, measurement, identification of properties, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts.
