Your West Circle Drive Hy-Vee is offering a series of cooking classes designed to teach teens (age 12-17) essential cooking skills! Teens will be able to eat their creations at the end of the class. Classes will be held every Thursday 11:00 – 12:30pm for five weeks starting July 14th. July 14th: Knife skills and cooking basics: chef salads Classes will be taught in our DISH classroom by the in-store dietitian and one of our talented chefs. Fees: $25 per class OR $100 for entire 5-week series, due on date of registration. Registration required at least 72 hours prior to scheduled class. Sculpture in Clay with Gul Ruk Selim (Ages 12-17) - Young People
Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms. Students will also have the opportunity to sculpt a human head from a model! For this we would work with each other as models! Both new and experienced artists are welcome. 2035624927 x14

The Farm Hands program is a great camp experience for kids that love to be outside working in the garden or learning how to care for our farm animals. Activities can vary from day to day because we work with the rhythm of the working farm. The sibling week was created a number of years back in response to feedback from parents that wanted their multi-aged children to attend together. You dont need to have a sibling or even a friend to register for sibling week, just be excited for making new friends of all ages. One of the most popular aspects of sibling week is that children are offered more choices of what activities to choose each day so they can create their own camp experience.
