Kids Camp - Brunswick, MO
This is a short class that offers lots of encouragment to kids that have an interest in sewing. Each student needs to bring a sewing machine (we have a few extra machines but need to know in advance if your planning to borrow) and an adult that can help through the class (the adult can have little to no sewing experience). We will be doing a quick sew project. Only $15.00 (includes fabric kit for project and snacks).

Kids day camp for Juy 11th, to July 15th, 2016 Ages first grade through age12. Camp runs Monday through Monday – to Fri - 9:30am to 3:30pm Before and after care are available for an additional fee - see details below. Camp must be pre-registered. There are no refunds however arrangements can be made to transfer registration to a different child. Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the 18th and 19th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time of pirates and privateers. Learn the skills of sabre and cutlass Learn about European History and sailing culture Play pirate games Craft Projects and learn to tie knots learn sea shanties Camp takes place at our facility in West Portland. Children will train with lightweight sword simulators and safety gear. They will have the opportunity to handle steel replicas of the real thing. Summer Prospect Camp - U-M Soccer Complex
The Prospect Camp is designed for those wishing to learn more about playing at the collegiate level. This camp will provide the serious soccer player with the understanding of what it will take for success at the collegiate level. Coaching staff is made up of current University of Michigan Soccer staff and are assisted by current members of the team. A number of other local/regional/national college coaches will also assist as a coach or will be in attendance to watch and evaluate talent. As part of this camp we also offer a presentation from Coach Daley and the Admissions Department here at The University of Michigan. Ceramics 6 - Learn to Throw - Artists Exchange
Build your skills with a week of camp devoted to the pottery wheel. Start by throwing the basic cylinder form and turning it into a functional bowl or vase. Add some character to the plates and cups you use every day with interesting surface techniques and glaze. Ceramics camps allow children to immerse themselves in clay studio studies ranging from basic hand building, wheel throwing, and sculpting. Campers will learn a variety of skills designed to fit the camp they are in. Ceramic focus campers will learn the technical aspects of recycling, slab work, build a simple kiln from a metal trash can and firing pottery in it. All under the guidance of a professional potter and the fire department. Clay adventures offers a beginners taste of experimenting with clay.
