Did you know that your favorite sweet treats are the product of an interesting array of chemical reactions? Tie on your apron! Its time to bake some sweet treats as we have fun learning about the science of baking and kitchen safety. Participants in this session will learn the science behind baking the perfect cookie as well as the proper way to measure and mix ingredients, kitchen safety, baking techniques, and how to overcome baking challenges as we make a different type of cookie each day (including at least one gluten free option). Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. Summer Camp '15 will be here before we know it. The projected dates are August 3rd - 6th (may be subject to change). Total cost is $275 per student. Early bird pricing is $225 and that is ONLY with a non-refundable $125 deposit in by APRIL 1st. After April all deposits are $100 to reserve your spot with total cost $275. ALL $money$ is DUE by July 23rd. The location is TBA. You do not want to miss out, the sooner you get your deposits in the better. Stay tuned more details to follow. The overall goal of the Camp is to educate and challenge players of all levels, while focusing the serious soccer player towards achieving their next level. Camp will offer both technical and tactical sessions, delivered by our nationally recognized coaching staff. Campers will be placed into age and ability specific groups as to optimize the environment for each players development. Our curriculum is designed to challenge each player through the combination of small and big-sided match play coupled with daily training sessions focused on various technical and tactical aspects. A recruiting seminar for high school campers will be offered during camp. We use a variety of games to enhance a player?s understanding of how to use the fundamentals of passing, catching, shooting, picking up groundballs, and dodging.
