Grades 1-5, your supervised child will learn to use a variety of art mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, chalk, and clay using high quality art supplies that features a drawing or painting technique to create a wide range of artistic experiences for them for an hour after school. Alto Sax: Middle School Band - University of Texas at Austin
The Middle School Band program is designed to accommodate musicians ranging from the most talented and proficient to the less experienced, with a minimum of one year of training on their chosen instrument. It is open to entering grades 7, 8 or 9. The concert bands are conducted by outstanding band directors from around the state. This session provides an excellent opportunity for young musicians to improve their individual performance skills. Instruction includes rehearsals, sectionals, master classes, supervised practice, and optional private lessons. Bubble Wands Workshop with Mary Kernahan - The Northville Art House
Ages 5 to 8 years old: Celebrate spring with a day of bubbles! First we will make our very own bubble wand using wire, then we will embellish them with beads, ribbons and sparkles to make each one unique. Next we will make our own bubble solution and then the best part - we will go outside and blow bubbles with our works of art! Summer Arts Academy 5/6 - Oakwood
For children entering 5th or 6th grade: Each day, students will attend six periods with a fifteen-minute recess and snack after third period. They will attend four intellectually stimulating and fun-filled classes including: Brain Booster, Adventures in Art, Science Shakedown, and Fun and Fitness. For the remaining two periods, children may choose between On Stage, a performing arts class which spans two periods, or a Keyboarding and Wild About Writing option.
