Green Thumbs Worlds End Reservation (AM session) - Worlds End Reservation
Some say it isnt easy being green but it is here! Especially if being green means spending time outside and learning to love the world around you. This is our goal with this introductory program. This three day session will take place at Worlds End Reservation which is home to some of the best views on the South Shore. Our activities will be similar to activities offered in the full week session but tailored to our younger audience. Children can expect to put on their backpack and head out in search for adventures at the salt marsh, shore line or forest. Children must be four by August 31st to be eligible for this program. Girls in STEM April: Maximizing Momentum - Keystone Science School Campus
At Keystone Science School, STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) is an integral part of every experience. The Girls in STEM program dives even deeper by exploring not only the STEM concepts in an empowering girls-only environment, but also highlighting real women currently working in STEM careers. This program builds leadership and collaboration between the girls involved as they engage in fun, hands-on activities that impart new skills and confidence in science, tech, engineering, and math - areas in which girls are inclined to be wallflowers. A key element of the program is a teaching technique called positive growth feedback in which "failure" is viewed as a necessary and even welcome step on the path to success. Research has shown that girls are especially receptive to this teaching technique and the scientific method is the ideal process for applying this technique to valuable learning. KidSport Summer Fun - Afternoons Ages 4 - 6[] Each week kids do a variety of fitness, activities, games, team building and crafts and open swimming time. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. KODA Youth Girls (Ages 13–16) - Camp Mark 7
Camp Mark Seven offers a place where hearing children of Deaf parents could come together to learn about, and better understand the two worlds that they simultaneously live in, and where they could explore, identify, and strengthen their unique C/KODA identities and develop individually as leaders. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires.
