Each year the WGBC youth and guests spend 3 days in fellowship and under intensive instruction in the Word. The program includes worship services, bonfire fellowship, games, and various activities. This is a unique opportunity to establish new friendships, renew the old, and serve each other. But the most important aspect of this retreat is the time during the services when young people will be united in worship. Another great blessing of this time is the opportunity to interact with our pastors who will be there with us the whole time. This year's theme: The book of Daniel was written to encourage the Jews in exile by revealing God’s program for them. They are reminded that God is sovereign over the affairs of all rulers and nations. A key aspect within the overarching theme of God’s kingly control is Messiah’s coming to rule the world in glory over all men (2:35, 45; 7:13, 14,27). Students will begin with simple projects such as Shrinky Dinks, clay beads, and macramé, before moving on to more complex techniques with wire wrapping, chain and leather work, beading and weaving. Students will be creating layered necklaces, chandelier earrings, gemstone rings, and anything else they can dream up! 206-957-1533

Instructor Kim Agnew is a multi-disciplined dancer, choreographer and dance educator teaching all over the greater Bay Area including, Head Royce, dance and music outreach with the San Francisco Ballet and 13 summers with Marin Ballet. As many students repeat dance in ASP, off campus or during the regular school day, they begin to have creative dance ideas of their own. In this class, Kim will guide the dancers in creating their own group choreography using the dance skills they bring to class as well as learning some new ones. New dancers have great ideas too and are more than welcome to join class. The dancers really have to work as a team, try each others ideas and see what their moves look like when someone else executes it.
