For 2-5 year olds, this weekly class combines creative movement with story time! Its a fun learning experience that builds language acquisition, developmental movement, conceptual understanding, personal expression, social skills, and creative problem solving. We will use our bodies with assistance from our expanding imaginations to move through stories to reinforce verbal literacy through the young childs strong kinesthetic intelligence. Adults are welcome to wait in a nearby classroom ( with wifi!) during the class, and will be invited in for a sharing day on the 4th and 7th class of each session. all prices include $10 registration fee Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program. Kid's Spring Break Camp - El Paso, TX
SPRING BREAK is here!! Give your kids something to talk about when they go back to school. Bring them in to the Academy of Aerial Fitness and have them experience AERIAL ARTS! The kids will learn silks, hoop, hammock, balance, calisthenics, yoga, and PARKOUR! Keep your kids active and having fun during their long school break!! You can sign them up and pay over the phone or come in Monday morning and sign up when you drop them off!
Rogue Robots: LEGO Robotics Camp - San Angelo, TX
Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Students will learn different aspects of line, shadow, volume, and composition by working from drawings of the Masters - still life and plein air. Create beautiful still lifes and plein air landscape paintings from photos, models, and nature. Arduino is a micro-controller with user friendly coding that can be used to interact with the physical world. This Arduino starter camp will provide basic instruction on how to use the Arduino micro-controller to perform a variety of different tasks. This is a full day camp and includes a $50.00 material fee for take home electronic parts and accessories.
