After School Hoops - Valle Verde Elementary
Instructor: One on One Basketball () Room: Blacktop After School Hoops® is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join. One of the many merits of After School Hoops® is that it provides school children with an organized after school event at which they can learn, socialize, and most of all, have fun. Parents and teachers often express concern that idle and unsupervised after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. Using athletics as the vehicle, After School Hoops® provides children with an opportunity to improve their overall physical fitness, develop sportsmanship and athletic integrity, and gain an understanding of the game of basketball. Beginning Keyboardists - Summit Schools
Curious about the ivory keys? Learn piano basics and experiment with sound through the use of keyboards. Students with less than one year of music/piano experience are encouraged to take this class. Well have you feeling like a pro in no time! *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Students should bring a sack lunch that does not require heating or cooling. Developed over 30 years, this is the number one soccer camp for parents looking to introduce their children to the fundamentals of the worlds most popular sport. Using our progressional curriculum, your young athlete will gain technical skills and sport knowledge required for that next step into soccer. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. Participants should bring water bottle, two snacks, running shoes, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing. All campers will receive a T-shirt and soccer ball.
