Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, Centennial Lakes Police Department, Centennial Fire District, Lexington Fire Department, and Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department present the Annual Safety Camp! Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of serious injury and/or death of children. This camp is taught by those who respond to those types of incidents each day in an effort to reduce the numbers of injuries that occur each year. The camp includes sessions on bike safety, fire safety, 911 procedure, water safety, personal safety, electrical safety, outdoor safety and first aid - all in an informative and fun atmosphere. The knowledge campers learn will allow them to make the right decisions when faced with unsafe conditions. Safety Camp is intended for children entering 4th grade the fall of 2016. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 150 participants Priority will be given to residents residing in Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, Lexington, and Centerville until June 17. Summer Arts Academy 3/4 - Oakwood
For children entering 3rd or 4th grade: Each day, students will attend six periods with a fifteen-minute recess and snack after third period. They will attend four intellectually stimulating and fun-filled classes including: Brain Booster, Adventures in Art, Science Shakedown, and Fun and Fitness. For the remaining two periods, children may choose between On Stage, a performing arts class which spans two periods, or a Keyboarding and Wild About Writing option. Foothills Adventure - Session 1 - Mitchell Park Community Center (MPCC)
Did you fall in love with Foothills Camp when you were younger? Do you like to explore the land, hike the trails and sleep under the stars? Foothills Adventure is built on the same tried-and-true principles as our Foothills Day and Fun Camps, but developed specifically for middle school aged youth. Longer hikes, more sophisticated games and activities, weekly challenges with Foothills Camp staff...the fun doesnt end with Foothills Day anymore! An overnight on the first Thursday of the session is a must, but Foothills Adventure takes campfires and night games to a whole nother level. NEW IN 2016 - Swimming on the last Friday of camp ends the session on a perfect note. Get ready for a Foothills Adventure you wont forget!
