We will explore a new energy theme each day, make crafts, and do experiments based on the themes. This will be a week focused on making the world a better place to live while also improving the quality of our inner wellbeing. Session 2 Summer Camp (no camp 7/4) - Beaux Arts Center for Art at the Lowe
Creative projects are planned so students may explore various art techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, paper mache, ceramics and much more! There will also be daily outdoor play and a snack provided mid-morning. Children will also be able to tour and get inspiration from the phenomenal Lowe Art Museum. Please send your child with a packed nut-free lunch and in clothes that can get messy! Camp will be lots of fun! 305-284-3535
Camp Chickababa Week 1 - Springbrook Recreation Center
for Disabled Persons Ages 6 Years & Older This camp includes fun and therapeutic activities such as arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor games, music, swimming, ability appropriate field trips and more. Space is limited per week. Registration accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with 2015 campers given first priority until May 15. Wearable technology is becoming more and more popular everyday, especially when devices such as fit bits and apple watches exist. However, what if we were to incorporate technology into fashion? In this class, students will learn to invent and create a functional wearable garment, such as a shirt that lights up when reacting to sound, light, or temperature. Students will combine technology & fashion to create great looking, interactive wearables. This class will incorporate sewing, electronics, and fundamental programming. Every kid graduates from a session as a HERO and goes home with a certificate of achievement that they can show off wherever they please. We not only teach sports fundamentals, we also teach the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
