Kayak Fishing Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Kayak Fishing Camp is for children ages 8 – 12 (by first day of camp session). This camp combines two of the favorite activities at camp – kayaking and fishing! The week begins with a lesson on the water learning kayaking skills with a certified instructor. The campers will then have two opportunities during the week to be on the water, combining these two skills – and hopefully catch some fish! With help from a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sport fishing Association (MSSA), campers will have on-land instruction learning how to tie lures, cast a line and what fish can be found in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Friday, the campers get to choose if they want to fish or go crabbing from the boat launch or fish from a kayak. In addition to all the fishing and kayaking, campers will also have the opportunity to do archery, field games, crafts and get wet with water games. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of the week at camp. The Details! Snow White (Theatre in the Park) - True Hope Community Church
A two-week session where campers learn playmaking! Make sets, costumes and props and put on a performance the final day of camp in a local park. In this sessions play, "Snow White," Snow White must escape the clutches of the wicked queen, and finds some help along the way.
