Percussion - Band Camp 2016 - Natick High School
This week-long, intensive band experience is designed for middle school students who are entering grades 6-8 and have AT LEAST ONE YEAR of band experience. Led by Natick middle school band directors Scott Morrill and Dave Drapeau, sessions will be a blend of full band work and breakouts by instrument. Students will focus on skills and musicianship and work towards performing several songs as a full band by the end of the week. The band directors will be supported by high school musicians who will help mentor the kids throughout the week. 508-647-6400 x1773

Adventure Camp - Reg. Camp Session 7 - Veterans Memorial - Recreation Center
Come join the excitement of Adventure Camp with the San Bruno Parks and Recreation Services Department. Adventure Camp provides a fun and exciting experience for teens ages 11-13. Leaders provide a safe environment that helps teens develop social skills and the appreciation for the environment. A regular weekly schedule may include field trips such as movies, bowling, ice skating, miniature golf, swimming, pizza parties, and featured trips. A $20 late fee will be charged for those who need camp on the Monday of each camp session. Nature & Pond Life - Middle School
Through observation and inquiry, students explore the Nature around them. In this session we take the children through nature trails and begin our journey with a trees parts and the role each part plays in a trees life cycle. After observing patterns in nature, students create their own design project that will reinforce the lesson learned. What makes a bird a bird? To find out, students go on a picturesque bird walk and use binoculars to observe birds closely. They comb the environment to investigate artifacts like feathers, feet, and skulls to discover how different birds learn to adapt and thrive in their special niches. A hands-on art project helps to reinforce this avian adventure. Through simple scientific observation and physical exploration, students investigate the nature of seeds, their role in the cycle of life, and interesting ways that they adapt, survive, and thrive in their environment. Students dissect seeds and then create their own seed mosaic. They learn about the lifecycles of bees and the role they play in pollination.
