Summer Camp 2015 - Waynesville, NC
With summer around the corner, many parents find themselves struggling to find fun, educational activities to schedule for their children. Working parents scramble to find childcare providers who offer a safe environment while still delivering their kids some real summer fun. Smoky Mountain Sk8way & FUN ZONE has once again partnered with area teachers and specialists to offer a fun, affordable, healthy and safe summer day camp experience for kids who've finished kindergarten through sixth grade. Skate, Learn, Play is the theme. This year the summer camp has gone the extra mile to become an officially licensed camp by the State of North Carolina which allows them to accept subsidized payments from Southwestern Child Development. The Sk8way has also added a 5,000 sq ft outdoor park for the kids to play in, new games and activities and even better, most will agree, they will have nutritious breakfast and lunches provided by the Haywood County School System. "This is not your ordinary summer camp", explains Camp Director Sandra Christopher, "We are action packed with activities, skill building, educational and friend making fun! Your kids will not be bored this summer, that's for sure!" Activities will...

Kid's Jiu Jitsu Camp - New Bern, NC
Our Jiu-Jitsu camp will arm your child with a host of positive mental and physical skills that will help him/her in school, at home and in life! As your child will learn to succeed, you’ll see a new kind of discipline emerging… the kind that will positively affect all areas of his or her life. You’ll notice an increased respect for others, and most importantly, for him / herself. This kind of powerful mind/body connection will make them unstoppable when faced with difficulties in life. Watch your child’s energy, confidence, and spirit rise while he or she becomes strong and confident. We’re not just talking about physical strength, but the kind of strength it takes to resist peer pressure and other negative aspects of life. Jiu-Jitsu is a non-striking self-defense martial art system based on leverage and control over the opponent. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is considered to be one of the best self defenses for kids and adults since it’s applied in response to physical aggression, so there’s no need to worry about your child becoming violent.
