This camp is for registered incoming Mater Dei freshman. The purpose of this camp is to prepare the freshman team both physically and mentally for rigors of Monarch Football. Both Players AND parents are expected to attend freshman orientation on Monday, June 13 from 6pm-8pm. As a parent, I like the goals of the camp: to offer a safe environment where campers can learn, become confident, improve self-esteem, learn skills that foster independence. I don’t mind that my son want to return to this camp year after year.

Retreat 2016: Endurance - Proclaiming the Everlasting Kingdom - Naches
Each year the WGBC youth and guests spend 3 days in fellowship and under intensive instruction in the Word. The program includes worship services, bonfire fellowship, games, and various activities. This is a unique opportunity to establish new friendships, renew the old, and serve each other. But the most important aspect of this retreat is the time during the services when young people will be united in worship. Another great blessing of this time is the opportunity to interact with our pastors who will be there with us the whole time. This year's theme: The book of Daniel was written to encourage the Jews in exile by revealing God’s program for them. They are reminded that God is sovereign over the affairs of all rulers and nations. A key aspect within the overarching theme of God’s kingly control is Messiah’s coming to rule the world in glory over all men (2:35, 45; 7:13, 14,27). All of the kingdoms of this world will come to an end and will be replaced by the Lord’s kingdom, which will never pass away (2:44; 7:27). Though trials and difficulties will continue for the saints up until the end, those who are faithful will be raised...

This is the perfect start to a lifetime of camping and enjoying the wilderness. Based out of Fowler and its two log lean-tos, you and a small group will become close as you spend your days hiking and canoeing in the area. Your days will fly by while you canoe and hike; explore and swim; play and learn in the Adirondacks. Summer Track Club (5-10): 9:00-11:00 - The Hockaday School
Speed: Runners, on your mark… Go! Sprint your way into new running technique that will improve speed. Join the Track Club to learn speed drills and footwork fundamentals with track equipment. This camp will teach kids to enjoy competition. Our campers will participate in games and kid-friendly contests of some of the drills. Distance: Pace yourself from start to finish. Children will remain lifelong runners with the right shoes and the right distance. Running longer and farther is one of the best ways to keep our campers active. Come form happy hearts and lungs with us by building endurance, stamina, and strength. Jumping: Blast off to test your flying skills! Get off the ground with long jumps, high jumps, triple long jump, and much more. Learn simple techniques that will make a huge difference in jumping performance from the runway into the sand pit. Throwing: You have the power! Test your Strength. Throwing is a fun way to improve upper and lower body strength. Residential Field Player Camp - Rice University
The residential camp for field players will focus on four principles of a complete player: physical, psychological, technical and tactical. The program will be intense, but will foster learning through a fun, competitive environment. Players begin each day with strength and agility exercises and then a technical session. After lunch, players will return to the field for our tactical session and small sided games. Each evening, competitive matches will be played, giving coaches the opportunity to observe the players understanding of the topics covered that day. Our staff will be comprised of only the top college, ODP and club coaches available. This camp is open to any and all boys and girls ages 12-18. **Please note that graduating high school seniors are now allowed to participate in summer camps where collegiate coaches are on staff.
