Camp Fowler Festif - Orefield, PA
Now in its 5th year, Festif is a family fun event that combines cycling, trail running, entertainment, food, and fun. Rides range from family friendly distances to a quad burning 44 miles. All riders will have cue sheets and routes well marked. There will be rider support on each route and both the 20 and 44 mile route each have a well stocked rest stop. NEW for 2016: 5k and 10k Fox and Hound runs! Chase our "fox" around Camp Fowler during these trail runs. The 5k is both family and walker friendly and prizes will be given to anyone who is able to follow the foxes clues and catch them before the finish. Cycling or running isn't for you? Check out our "Festif Only" option and enjoy our camp all day long. ropes course instructors will be on hand so that attendees can enjoy our ropes course, climbing tower and zip line, as well as swimming in the Fleming Pool, face painting, music and more. You guys have a real passion for hockey, and to you, "spring" just means a couple more months of playing time!Our weekly skill sessions will help you bring your game to the next level. Youll increase your foot speed and make your strides more efficient. Your dekes and your shots will also improve. This camp is designed to help campers learn the high level fundamental skills needed to become a great shooter. Coach Lubbers teams have consistently ranked as one of the best FT and 3PT shooting teams not only in the RMAC but in the country. Camp Half-Blood is offered in one-week sessions to boys and girls ages 7 through 12. Each session pulls its theme from a different Greek Myth. Using storytelling, live action role play and physically and mentally engaging activities, campers work with their friends to develop new skills, solve problems and create summer memories that will last a lifetime. Demi-Gods will learn archery, sword-fighting, forging, story-making, myth-writing, and create greek-inspired crafts. All of which theyll need in their weekly (quests) to find and defeat the ancient monsters that roam the hills and paths of our Prospect Park campsite. Camp Half-Blood is open to demi-Gods ages 7-12. Our drop-off and pick-up location is at the 9th Street and Prospect Park West entrance to Prospect Park. In one exciting week, campers enroll in our Jedi Academy where they learn to use the Force, and become highly trained in the use of light sabers, including light saber safety! With the help of your fellow Jedi, you compete in Star Wars trivia contests, work together to construct a Star Wars planet, design costumes and compete for "Jedi points" to increase your Star Wars rank. Now you too, can battle with the dark side and restore the Jedi order. Campers are divided by grade into developmentally appropriate groups. Enroll now !
