Cardio Drumming is sure to get your heart going. A mixture of both cardio exercise and drumming. Drum sticks are required. They can be purchased from the instructor for $10 or borrowed from the instructor. Exercise balls and buckets required at cost to particpant. Please arrive with ball blown up. UH Campus Rec Kid's Triathlon - Houston, TX
Hey guys. We are in need of volunteers to help out at the Kid's Triathlon the university is hosting. This is a fun all day event on April 19th with several volunteer shifts to help fit your schedule! If you'd like to help make this a great experience for the young ones, please comment/post on this event telling us when you can volunteer. The shifts are: - 4:45am - 9am (this will entail mostly set up and concessions) - 9am – 1pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 1pm – 4pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 4pm – 7pm (concessions, tear down and help with trash pick-up during event) The more volunteers we get to help out with the event the better it helps support the club. PowerHouse Regional Youth Conference - Milford, IN
The PowerHouse regional youth conference will return to Camp Mack again this year, providing a weekend of worship, workshops, music, recreation, and more for senior high youth in the Midwest and their advisors. The Church of the Brethren BVS and Workcamp staff will provide leadership for the weekend on the theme "Plug In: to God, each other & the world" based on 3 John 1:13-14. Students will use basic drawing techniques to learn how to tell a story through pictures. While focusing on composition and design, students will explore how to communicate an idea through an illustration. Students will work with stories written by other students as part of the Grannie Annie project. 2016 Stanford Synchro Swim Camp - Overnight - Stanford Athletics
Stanford Synchro Swim Camp will allow athletes the opportunity to work with Olympic medalists, National Team coaches and coaches of the Stanford University Synchronized Swimming Team. During this camp, athletes will focus on and learn the importance of injury prevention based land training, sport-specific muscle strengthening, and translation of these elements into the water. They will learn the technical warm-up Stanford Synchro athletes use to train, and a short Stanford Synchro routine to perform at the end of camp. A week of hands-on experiments will increase your understanding of our good ship Earth. Learn how animals are camouflaged and go on the hunt for scents and tracks as you take a walk on the wild side of science. Dissect owl pellets and build a strong structure to crawl inside. We will look at it all from nature to pollution to sports to animals. 2016 Michigan Girls Golf Camp - Universtiy of Michigan Golf Course
Campers will work with the same instructor for the entire camp which allows the student to have consistent communication with their designated coach. -V1 Golf Swing Analysis – Each camper will receive a personalized swing video at the end of the camp which reviews the specific instruction they received from their coach. -Seminars including: NCAA Rules/Collegiate Golf, Nutrition, Golf Psychology, Rules of Golf. -On-Course experience where the camper will receive instruction from management skills, green reading, pre-shot routine, and mental toughness. -Instruction that focuses on the long term development in all facets of the game. -Exposure to the University of Michigan golf teams (collegiate players), the beautiful UM campus, and the coaching staff. -Campers will interact with some members of the U of M Womens Golf Team who will be present to provide instruction and insight into the daily lives of a college athlete. 734-615-2934
