Beginning Fishing Camp - Black Hill Visitor Center
Enjoy a week of fishing fun and adventure while learning how, when, and where to catch freshwater fish. Well fish Little Seneca Lake first to get some experience, and then travel to waters outside of the park for new challenges. Park naturalists will provide expert, hands-on instruction on balanced tackle, live bait, artificial lure selection, knots, casting, and the latest fishing techniques. Well send out an itinerary and equipment list prior to camp. The camp fee includes all bait and a well-equipped tackle pack with a variety of lures and hooks perfect for the beginning angler. Be inspired by the natural world as you explore the surrounding mountains, collect natural materials, and create your own eco-art! Projects will include: making paint from rocks we collect, collecting clay and making pinch pots or other imaginative creations, nature collage, and felted beads. Of course, we will also adventure into the mountains and for plenty of good old-fashioned fun! 505-699-6230

This program will prepare players for team play by introducing and enforcing the rules of the game. Triple threat position, using an aggressive first step, team defense, and conditioning will be the focus of instruction.
