Spring Valley Spring Break Camp - Spring Valley
While taking a break from school, spend some time at Spring Valley as spring approaches and the days become a little warmer. One day will be spent at the log cabin, cooking over an open fire. The other days will be spent exploring trails and looking for signs of animals. Well make crafts, play games, and learn about the animals at Spring Valley. Opti Green Fleet (Full Season PM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti LTS Step 3, Step 2 per instructor recomendation Students will be challenged to perfect their sailing techniques, learn to use hiking straps and tiller extensions, and expand their knowledge of wind, weather and upwind sailing. Students will be introduced to basic racing techniques and will be encouraged to participate in local Green Fleet regattas, which are designed for new racers. All students will be under the supervision of our instructors and coaches in class and at specific local regattas. Be on the look out for your ECSA regatta booklet which has all the regatta information in it that will be handed out during the first week of programs. Typically your child will participate in 6-8 regattas over the 8 week summer. Regatta fees are not included and typically range from $25-$35 per event. 860-535-9362

Minecraft Programming Using LUA Using a custom mod called Computercraft, students will learn how to program robots called Turtles inside the world of Minecraft. Kids will utilize problem-solving skills by learning how to program their robots to complete various tasks such as programming their turtles to automatically build, mine, and craft items and structures. They will be introduced to programming if-then-else statements, for-while loops, and implement their own functions using LUA, a simple scripting language.
