This class is for 4th-8th grade students. Through the Vocal Performance Workshop, students will: learn foundational vocal technique, as well as techniques used in different musical styles; shape and strengthen their vocal instrument with breathing and singing exercises; explore performance practices of interpretation, connection with the audience, stage movement, and microphone use; understand how to care and use their voice in healthy ways. Mainstage Morgantown submitted 12 area bands from WV, PA, OH, MD based on website, social media presence, recorded material, tour history, festival history, and local fanbase. The Summer Camp on the Road committee chose the following acts: The Company Stores Fletcher's Grove Grand Ole' Ditch The Jakobs Ferry Stragglers Dale and the ZDubs Each paid $5 entry recieves a voters card to submit anytime during the contest. Teen Sewing Boot Camp - Edmonds, WA
Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine if you have one, and basic sewing supplies. A list of fabrics and notions will be sent to you once you have registered. Cost is $100. Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run - Kearney, NE
Please join us for our Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run! Starting friday night we will have devos, activities and an evening ending campfire! Saturday morning we will have breakfast and a devo as we get ready for the Mud Run! The Mud Run starts at 10:30 AM with registration beginning at 9:45. The cost for the Mud Run is 35 and the cost for the mini youth rally is 10. The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it. Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. MYGB will continue to offer its Quran program with the hope that this program will help our youth bond with the Quran through this experience Inshallah. By the end of each session of MYGB Quran program participants will have developed: *- greater appreciation of the words of Allah; *- better ability to read and recite the Quran; *- better understanding of some of the basic concepts addressed by the verses repeated in the short chapters. The program will also have a memorization component based on the youths abilities and readiness for memorization. All teachers and volunteers have tremendous experience working with youth in this particular field. Groups will be divided by age and then by competency level. Parrie Haynes - Parrie Haynes Ranch
Parrie Haynes Ranch Your child will get to enjoy fishing, a nature walk, archery, arts and crafts, horse care, field games, and lunch out at Parrie Haynes Ranch. This trip is for students 8 years old and above. We will be departing BCYC no later than 9:00 am. Please have our child dropped off by 8:30 am in a red shirt and tennis shoes or hiking boots. Please no sandals or flip flops. Make sure they are wearing socks as well. Lunch will be included in this trip. It would be a good idea to send them with a small, light weight back pack/ bag with a water bottle and sunscreen to re-apply throughout the day. August 1-4: Secret Language of Birds (Ages 5-7) - Mountain Kids!
Birds are beautiful and expressive animals that we can see and hear daily. Learning bird language opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. We will look for birds in the wild and visit the Wildlife Center for an educational program and close-up view of some beautiful raptors and other birds and mammals.
