Lacey Camp (Outdoor) - EXTENDED Session 7 - 2016 - City of Hanford
Grades: K - 12th Morning drop off at Lacey Park; afternoon pick up at the Hanford Teen Center. This weeks theme "End of Summer / Talent Show" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. Soccer Fundamental Skills Camp: Half Day Gr. K-5 - Lawton Elementary
Grades K-5 All skills level welcome! No matter their skill level, quality instructors will help your child improve their ball control, shooting, defensive skills and passing techniques. Algebra Bridge Class - TRINITY ACADEMY
This class is for the student who has completed Algebra I and wants to reinforce those skills before entering Geometry or Algebra II. There will be particular emphasis on the second semester Algebra I concepts that typically cause students difficulty. Items covered will include the following: solving and rearranging equations, slope, writing equations of lines, solving systems of equations, simplifying exponents, multiplying binomials (FOIL) reducing radical expressions, and factoring. Students are expected to take notes, work on in-class assignments, and should be prepared to complete some assignments at home. Stitch Camp-Embroidery, Machine and Hand Sewing - Horizons K-8 School
Have you ever wished you knew how to sew? Learn sewing machine basics and how to embroider decorative stitches in this fun half-day camp. We will emphasize process as well as product so that students become confident stitchers. Students will work in small project groups to create interesting and functional items that reflect their personality. Everyone will sew and embroider their own pillow, a fabric-covered notebook, a tote bag, earbud caddies, and more. Students will also take home an embroidery sewing kit and project patterns.
