Beginners and experienced wrestlers alike will be challenged at this camp. This technique camp will provide instruction on stance, level changing, circling, shooting and sprawling. High school students attending the camp will work on leg riding offense and defense, throws and throw defense, rolls, advance shot defense, scoring from an offensive position, and mental toughness. This camp will run Mondays only. Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, wrestling shoes (highly recommended), socks, towel, water bottle and lunch/snack. Headgear, mouth guard, knee pads, etc., are optional. 248-373-5300

Kid's Campout with the Prickly Pear Living History Museum - San Antoni
Do you want to help your kids build a connection to nature, but aren’t sure how? Do you struggle to get them away from screens? On March 19th and 20th Government Canyon State Natural Area and the Prickly Pear Living History Museum will be co-hosting a camping event for kids ages 10-16 and their parents. No screens allowed, but no one will be bored. Instead, we’ll talk about how local Native Americans survived and thrived in the same places we now call our home. For hands-on learning we’ll have reproduction tools, weapons, and natural resources for everyone to explore. Along the way, kids discover how to be hike leaders and why it’s important to be good caretakers of the land. We’ll provide most of the equipment. Maximum of two kids and two adults per group, so that more kids can enjoy the experience. Space is limited to 12 people. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Our last event filled up fast.
