This camp offers aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training, and encourages camper interest in the career fields of Science, Math, and Engineering. Campers will build prototypes with the new technology and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. Multiple teams of four will apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. Missions include: delivering pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuvering the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker. Beginning with the most important meal of the day, your little chef will take recipes and whip up something that tastes pretty good. At the end, of the day chefs will make and take home yummy desserts. Gymnastics Camp, Ages 7-13 - Community House
Girls will have the opportunity to learn gymnastics including rhythmic gymnastics with hoops and ribbons, tumbling on the mats and have the opportunity to learn routines on the balance beam, the single and uneven parallel bars and the vault. Lorrie Rousseau is LPRDs Gymnastic Instructor during the school year and now Lorrie brings her talent and over 25 years of dance and gymnastic experience to our summer camps. This is an excellent opportunity for dancers and cheerleaders to get in shape and learn beginner through intermediate gymnastic level activities. Space is limited!
